Urban Land Institute |

Founded in 1936, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) is a non-profit research and education organisation supported by its members, with a mission to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and the creation of thriving communities. The institute now has approximately 36,000 members in 82 countries worldwide, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service. ULI has about 2,300 members in Europe with a particularly strong presence in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and France. European members are served by 14 National Councils, which act as country specific networks, bringing people together from across the real estate sector to exchange experiences and knowledge through events such as conferences, project tours and community outreach programmes. Senior members are also invited to join one of five sector-specific European Councils: Urban Regeneration; Retail and Entertainment, Office and Mixed-Use, Resort and Hotel Development and Sustainability. The European Councils act as genuinely international forums for industry leaders to meet, exchange ideas, share best practices and develop thought leadership in their specific market sector. ULI also recognises the need to foster and develop new talent and has an active Young Leader programme for members under the age of 35. Young Leaders have the opportunity to attend study schools, build their own network of contacts and meet senior industry figures. |
